I spent some time making a “mix tape” for my folks. A modern take on the 1980s gift of stoke. “Listen to this! It’s cool.” In this case, YouTube channels and podcasts.
The idea came at the end of Spring semester 2024. Wouldn’t it be a great thing to share what I consider high quality content with folk that I know? Students and young people rarely get access to a compendium like this. I could make an easy poster to hang in the hallway outside my shop.
It’s not often that we get this kind of content shared with us from real people around us. I’d love to see others do it so that I can learn what else is cool. We all have different sources. Send me a copy of your mix tape!
A postmodern cavate: You may not agree with the perspectives that are offered in these sources. I desire a wide range of viewpoints to draw from. The point here is that they are high quality. They make their case well. If you have a real issue with what is said, consider it a ‘steel man’ argument or opposition research to work with.
