Removing Anti-skate Blocks
Back when i was doing most of my street skating, in the mid to late eighties, we could skate just about anywhere and have fun on the street. Today things are different. Archtects and building managers are wise to us and have figured out a way to stop skaters. They bolt or weld blocks onto ledges and rails to keep skaters off. Sucks huh?
While many companies are manufacturing and marketing these nasty little things, Ravensforge Skateblocks are most prominant.
The bolt on blocks can be removed. You need a special tool. It's cheap, you just have to know where to look. MSC is one of the best and cheapest places to look. You could also shop at SK/FACOM directly. the prices are a little higher, but the are the source. Their tamperproof hex are HERE and torx are HERE. These tools should get the job done and you up and skating.
ToolSource, also, has some well priced sockets for tamper-proof applications.
